European Investment Bank opens an office in Cyprus

Keravnos stated that this development, which he described as "an important moment for Cyprus", will provide the country's economy with "direct service" from EIB staff and "all technical support for the implementation of the projects".

During the EU Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) meeting in Luxembourg, the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Cyprus, Makis Keravnos, announced that the European Investment Bank (EIB) will open an office in Cyprus. The Minister also had the opportunity to meet with EIB President Nadia Calviño.

The Minister stated that his office will first be located in the Ministry of Finance campus, and then a permanent location will be found. Keravnos also said, "I would like to express my gratitude to President Nadia Calviño for her response and understanding, taking into account Cyprus' long-term cooperation with the European Investment Bank."
