Stating that violence and hate speech against members of the LGBTI community have no place in our society, the party demanded that the incident be immediately and thoroughly investigated by competent authorities so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice.

Volt Party continued its statement as follows:
We call on state institutions to take a strong stance against homophobia and hate speech. They must have zero tolerance for targeting vulnerable groups or diversity. Political figures need to lead by example.

“HOMOPHOBIA AND HATE SPEECH ARE NOT INDIVIDUAL, BUT A SOCIAL PROBLEM”

They must avoid expressions that incite hatred and homophobia, and the state must intervene immediately if hate speech is expressed. Homophobia and hate speech are a social problem, not an individual problem. What is important is to adopt a culture of respect and mutual understanding, as well as to react collectively. At Volt, we are committed to promoting equality and inclusion. We will continue to fight for a society without homophobia and discrimination.
